Born in Mons, Belgium and raised in Killeen, Texas, Dr. Archie Terell Smith is a transformative leader, pastor, author, and visionary committed to building Christ-centered communities and cultivating spiritual growth. His journey in ministry began early—accepting Jesus Christ as Savior at five years old and answering the call to preach at the age of twelve at Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church. He was later licensed to preach under the spiritual leadership of Overseer Warren Winns at Spread the Word Ministries Worship Center.
As the Senior Pastor and CEO of Spread the Word Worship Center NC, Dr. Smith leads with clarity, conviction, and compassion, embracing a servant leadership model that prioritizes people, purpose, and prophetic vision. Under his leadership, Spread the Word NC has developed impactful outreach programs, leadership training structures, and discipleship initiatives that reflect the ministry’s mission to Call, Challenge, and Change.
Dr. Smith is widely recognized as a distinctive voice to this generation—his preaching and teaching bring revelatory insight grounded in biblical truth. He is the author of three powerful books: Principles for the Purposed Man, Trusted with Trouble, and Rehoboth, each reflecting his commitment to guiding others through their spiritual journeys and life transitions.
Academically, Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He furthered his theological training with a Graduate Certificate in Christian Fundamentals, a Diploma of Ministry, a Master of Theology, and a Doctorate in Biblical Exposition from Andersonville Theological Seminary. His academic and spiritual foundations empower him to serve as both a thought leader and a community advocate.
At his core, Dr. Smith is a family man—dedicated to his wife, Dana Smith, Executive Pastor of Spread the Word NC, and their five children: Jakaria, Christopher, Harlee, Houstyn, and Hensley. His life and leadership are rooted in faith, service, and the belief that every person has a divine purpose waiting to be activated.

Pastor Dana M. Smith is a dynamic leader, seasoned speaker, and transformational mentor with an unwavering commitment to building strong individuals, families, and communities. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Dana’s leadership journey began at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, where her passion for people and purpose was first ignited.
She now serves as the Executive Pastor of Spread the Word Worship Center NC, co-leading with strength and grace alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Dr. Archie Smith. With a powerful blend of biblical wisdom, real-world insight, and raw authenticity, Dana inspires personal healing, professional growth, and spiritual maturity across every generation she touches. She’s especially passionate about women’s development, mentoring through her thriving women’s ministry, WomanUp, where she equips and challenges women to step fully into their God-given purpose.

Dana is a proud U.S. Army veteran, bringing over 24 years of federal service, including 21 years of active duty as a Logistics Warrant Officer. Her military career sharpened her expertise in leadership, systems thinking, and mission execution qualities she continues to apply in every aspect of her life.
Her academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University, an MBA with a concentration in Project Management from Liberty University, and a Leadership Studies certification. This academic foundation supports her work as a relationship and marriage coach, where she helps couples strengthen their connection physically, mentally, and spiritually.
At her core, Dana is a devoted wife and proud mother to five amazing children: Jakaria, Christopher, Harlee, Houstyn, and Hensley. She remains firmly grounded in faith, fueled by purpose, and focused on leaving a legacy that reflects God’s power through love, service, and unwavering integrity.
